Frederick Douglass walking trail: 'The Cork Abolitionists Trail'



The 'Cork Abolitionists Trail' was launched on the 22 July, honouring the life of abolitionist Frederick Douglass. Douglass was an abolitionist, social reformer, writer and statesman who became a leader in the anti-slavery movement following his escape from slavery.

Douglass visited Cork in 1845 to build support for the abolitionist cause and the trail traces his footprints across the City.
